Journalism

They say love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. As a student journalist I found the true meaning of that phrase. Here are some of my favorite pieces.

Student Voices:
Does a President's Age Matter?

This man-on-street-style package was created in February 2024 after the first presidential debate. The calls for President Joe Biden to drop out of the race were loud, with most citing his age as a primary factor. I interviewed students on Montclair State University's campus to see if young voters had any opinions.

Abortion Across the State

This piece aims to dissect the differences in opinion on abortion that exist across the state of New Jersey. While a traditionally blue state, some communities feel that the state has gone too far in codifying Roe v. Wade.

Sports Betting among Young Adults

Since its legalization in 2018, online sports betting has become a cultural phenomenon. College-aged young men have been found to gamble disproportionately more than others. I met with anti-gambling researchers and self-disclosed sports betters to better understand why.
